We sell on Shopify. Will Keloa still feel native?

Yes, order, fulfilment, and customer info appear inside the conversation, the AI can look up live order status mid-conversation, and Shopify articles ingest as knowledge sources. The integration uses OAuth and is backed by `app/Http/Controllers/Channels/ShopifyController.php`. The difference vs Gorgias is that Keloa is read + lookup focused; refund-from-ticket and Shopify Flow triggers are not in scope today.

What about WhatsApp and Instagram DMs?

Today Keloa ships chat and email natively. Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger are on the 2026 roadmap (the webhook receivers exist in `app/Http/Controllers/Channels/MetaController.php` but the operator UI is not finalized). If those channels are mission critical for your team right now, Gorgias ships them and we'll tell you that upfront.

How does Keloa handle viral-day spikes without ticket-overage shock?

Accepted Answer

Two safety mechanisms. First, plans have a daily AI reply ceiling (Starter 200, Growth 2,000, Business 10,000, Scale 50,000), the AI literally pauses if traffic explodes past your daily ceiling, so you can't get a $20,000 surprise invoice. Second, auto-recharge in €30 / 1,000-credit packs has a 30-minute cooldown and a hard cap. You won't blow your budget, and you can adjust both in billing settings before a planned campaign.

What about Gorgias's deep Shopify automations, refund-from-ticket, auto-tag by segment, Shopify Flow triggers?

Honest answer: Keloa doesn't replicate those today. The Shopify integration is read + lookup. If your team relies on writing back to Shopify from the inbox (refunds, edits, cancellations), Gorgias's deeper integration is genuinely better. We're working on it; not shipped.

No, but Keloa does not auto-pull historical conversations from Gorgias, Gorgias makes you go through the API. Pull your Gorgias data via their REST API into a JSON archive (we provide a script), keep it accessible read-only, and start fresh in Keloa. Customers see continuity because they reach you on the same email and chat widget, Keloa just runs the queue.

Is Keloa GDPR compliant?

Yes. Hosted in the EU, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), Article 28 DPA available to every customer, sub-processors listed publicly at [/legal/sub-processors](https://keloa.ai/legal/sub-processors). PII (emails, phones, IBANs, card numbers) is redacted before LLM calls leave the platform via `app/Services/Ai/PiiRedactor.php`. ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II are on the certification roadmap for 2026, not certified yet. Compared to Gorgias's US hosting, this matters during procurement reviews for Benelux brands selling into healthcare, education, or government.

What's the Schrems II story?

Keloa's data path is EU-only, primary hosting in Amsterdam, backups in Dublin, sub-processors disclosed and ranked. There is no transatlantic transfer for the operator-facing platform. (LLM calls go to Anthropic and OpenAI, both with EU-region endpoints where supported and PII redacted before send.) Gorgias is US-hosted, which means SCCs and a transfer impact assessment for every EU customer, increasingly a procurement blocker for Benelux SMBs.

Can I run Keloa alongside Gorgias during the migration?

Yes. The Keloa chat widget is a separate `<script>` tag that does not conflict with Gorgias's widget. You can run both for a few days during transition. Just don't load both on the same page, your customers will see two chat bubbles.

How does the AI handle order status questions on Shopify?

Accepted Answer

Customer pastes an order number, the AI looks it up via the Shopify integration (`app/Http/Controllers/Channels/ShopifyController.php`), and replies with the latest tracking, fulfilment status, and ETA. The reply cites the source, in the customer's language, and the LLM router (`app/Services/Ai/LlmRouter.php`) picks the right model for the job. For non-Shopify stores, the same answer is built via a Custom HTTP tool calling your own order endpoint.

Does Keloa charge for AI Agent the way Gorgias does?

Accepted Answer

No. The AI is the core of every Keloa plan, including the free Starter. You pay for credits used (1 credit per standard reply, 3 credits per premium-model reply), not a separate "AI tier" SKU. There is no per-resolution surcharge on top of the plan fee.

We're a multi-platform e-commerce store (Shopify + WooCommerce + custom). Does that work?

Yes, that's specifically where Keloa beats Gorgias. Keloa learns from your *website* via the crawler (`app/Services/Ai/WebsiteCrawler.php`) regardless of the platform underneath. Shopify orders are pulled live via OAuth; WooCommerce is connected today via the Custom HTTP tool (a native WooCommerce integration is on the roadmap); custom stacks plug in via the same HTTP tool. The AI's product and policy answers come from the crawled site, so the storefront platform doesn't matter for the support layer.

You can use Keloa anywhere, pricing is in EUR; hosting is EU-only, but the pitch is sharpest for European teams. If you're a US-only Shopify brand with no EU customers, no Schrems II concern, and a Gorgias-app-ecosystem dependency, Gorgias is honestly a better fit. If you're a Benelux brand selling into the EU and worried about data residency, Keloa is built for you.

What happens when I cancel Keloa?

One-click cancel from Stripe Customer Portal. Your account stays alive in a 7-day grace window after a failed payment (`past_due_grace_days = 7`); after that it downgrades to Starter caps but data is retained. You can export your data one-click as CSV or JSON (`settings/data/export.csv` or `.json`) anytime. You can also one-click delete the workspace. No retention call.

Does Keloa support the Gorgias-style "intent detection" for routing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the AI agent itself does intent detection during the conversation (via the LLM, not a hand-built classifier). Combined with confidence scoring and the `EscalationService.php` rules, the AI decides whether to reply, draft a reply for the operator, or escalate with a summary. You can also build deterministic routing via flow automations (Growth+) for tags, working hours, and language.
