Our story

The AI tools we tried were either liars or sticklers.

In 2024 we ran customer support for a fast-growing Dutch e-commerce brand. We tried half a dozen "AI chatbots", most hallucinated shipping policies, the rest refused every question that wasn't on a hardcoded list. None of them sounded like our brand. None of them kept data in the EU.

So we built the thing we wanted: an AI colleague that reads your website, sounds like you, cites every answer, and is honest about what it doesn't know.

Every engineer does a support shift each month. You cannot build good CX software without being on the receiving end of it.

Pay for AI replies. Auto-recharge if you want it. No "contact sales" for plan details. What you see on the pricing page is what you pay.

Hosted in Amsterdam. GDPR-first. DPA signed in your trial. Your data never leaves the region.

No VC treadmill. We charge for the product, and the product pays the bills. That means we can say no to features that don't earn their keep.

Who founded Keloa?

Keloa was founded in 2025 by the team behind a fast-growing Dutch e-commerce operation, after spending 2024 running customer service in-house and being disappointed by every AI chatbot on the market. We speak as 'the team' rather than building a personality cult around named founders. Specific bios are not published.

Where is Keloa based?

The Netherlands, with an office in Amsterdam. The legal entity is Dutch. Hosting is EU-only (Amsterdam primary, Dublin backups). The team is distributed across Benelux with Amsterdam as the anchor for in-person work.

Is Keloa VC-backed?

No. Self-funded, profitable, and operating on the product's revenue. No venture capital, no private-equity ownership, no US parent. The legal entity, the team, and the data are all in the EU. The product pays the bills, which means we can say no to features that do not earn their keep.

How big is the team?

Small. We do not publish a precise headcount because it changes; the relevant fact is that we are an early-stage SaaS team, not a 200-person organisation. Disciplines today are engineering, AI/ML, customer engineering, and design. We are actively hiring on the commercial side.

Are you hiring?

Yes, at /roadmap. What is shipped, what is in flight, and what is on the backlog, in plain language. No vague 'coming soon', no marketing fluff. Items move from 'planned' into 'live today' the day they ship in production.
